Privacy & Terms

Welcome to the official website of the Symphony of the Mountains. We have created this website to provide information about the Symphony of the Mountains, its concerts and special events, to fulfill ticket requests, and to accept contributions.

To help us achieve these purposes in a manner that is convenient for you, we gather two types of limited information from visitors to our website: anonymous usage information and the personal information provided by those who register with us. Details about what information we gather and how we use it are presented here. The Symphony of the Mountains is committed to using reasonable best efforts to ensure the privacy of all our visitors.

Symphony of the Mountains Nondiscrimination Policy

No person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, religion, or sex shall be excluded from participation in, or be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject to discrimination of services, programs, and employment provided by the Symphony of the Mountains.

Anonymous Information

You are welcome to visit and browse our website as often as you like without logging in, and no personally identifiable information about your visit will be collected. Our web servers track usage information for these visits, but on an entirely anonymous basis. This usage information is general data about how visitors use our website, which pages are most frequently visited, which websites most frequently refer visitors to our site, and how long patrons spend on our site.

Our servers track your usage by logging your IP address. We do not associate the anonymous information we collect through the tags with any personal information, and we do not otherwise monitor this information on an individual basis. Instead, we aggregate this usage information and use it only to monitor broad usage trends, to evaluate the effectiveness of our website’s design, to determine what customers do and do not use on the website, and to improve the website’s overall usability.

We may perform, or have third parties perform, analyses of visitors’ behavior and may share aggregated data with sponsors and advertisers, again on an entirely anonymous basis.

Personal Information

Personal information is any data related to the personal identity of a visitor to our website. A customer’s name, address, phone number, credit card number, e-mail address, and purchase history are all examples of personal information.

We do not require visitors to provide any personal information in order to browse our website or to obtain general information on our website. We do, however, require website users to register and provide personal information in order to purchase tickets, request a brochure or other information, or make contributions. In these cases, we collect only the personal information that a registrant specifically provides when registering, including Username and Password.

If you register, this information is used to fulfill your request and to provide a record of your transaction. It is stored by the Symphony of the Mountains and used again in subsequent visits only if you wish to make another purchase, make a contribution, or have an inquiry. Until that point, your return visit is anonymous as only logging in triggers personal recognition on our site.

We also use personal information from registrants to add to or update our postal mailing lists and telephone lists for season schedules, special offers, and general information. We may also use personal information to evaluate our registrants’ usage and transactions and to analyze how we can make the site more effective and interesting for you.

The Symphony of the Mountains values your support and privacy.

Occasionally, we allow other select not-for-profit organizations and arts sponsors to post their season schedules to our mailing lists. Should you prefer not to have your name shared, please e-mail info@SymphonyOfTheMountains and request to be placed on the “DO NOT TRADE” list.

Periodically, we provide registrants with important last-minute information and exclusive offers via email, such as street closures, program and guest artist changes, special offers, information from our sponsors, and notification of special events. When this or any other new function becomes available to our patrons, you will have the opportunity to opt out of receiving such e-mail updates should you wish to do so.

Children

We do not solicit personal information from people known to be children.

Tickets and Voucher Policies

Symphony of the Mountains has adopted the following policies in furtherance of our overall mission and for the sake of promoting orderly box office and ticketing operations. This Ticket and Voucher Policies document shall have an effective date of November 1, 2015.

Undated Vouchers and Voucher Expiration Dates

Over the years, Symphony of the Mountains concert ticket vouchers in various forms have been disseminated. Some of these were distributed years ago without a stated expiration date. Our policy as declared herein is for ticket vouchers to expire within no more than one year from the date of issuance or as stated in the voucher itself, whichever is sooner. As such, any vouchers which do not contain an expiration date and which were issued before July 1, 2015, shall be and hereby are deemed to expire no later than December 31, 2015. Undated single concert vouchers will not be honored after December 31, 2015.

Ticket Vouchers May Be Used Only Once

All complimentary Symphony of the Mountains concert ticket vouchers (or “comps”) are now numbered. When a voucher is exchanged for ticketed seating, the resulting ticket can be used for that concert only, the voucher number will be voided, and the voucher cannot be used again. If the ticketed seating is not utilized, the unused ticket and voucher are forfeited and may not be used for another concert.

Use of Vouchers

In order to ensure smooth box office operations at performances, we request that vouchers be redeemed prior to any concert by calling 423.293.8423 or coming to the Symphony of the Mountains box office during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m). For redemptions done by phone, the tickets then can be picked up at the “Will Call” table at which time the redeemed vouchers must be turned over for cancellation.

Complimentary Tickets for Performers

Each concert performer at a Symphony of the Mountains subscription concert is entitled to a single complimentary ticket for the concert in which that person will perform. The performer must request the complimentary ticket no less than one week in advance of the concert date. If such a timely request is made by the performer, a complimentary ticket will be issued subject to the availability of an open seat. Any such complimentary ticket is intended for use by a family member or friend of the performer at that performance only. Any ticket voucher issued for this purpose shall be subject to the provisions set forth above regarding the use of vouchers.
