Symphony of the Mountains is thrilled to present a special pre-concert discussion exploring the significance of the compositions featured in our upcoming performance, as well as the historical connection to the French-American alliance. This event will launch our 24-25 season Symphonic Stories with the concert, “Revisiting the Great Classics,” on Saturday, September 28th in Kingsport, TN
The pre-concert conversation begins at 6:00pm, led by Dr. Martin Dotterweich and Dr. Pat Flannagan. The concert will follow at 7:00pm, featuring a familiar selection of music by both French and American composers, including Ravel’s Boléro, Bizet’s Carmen Suite, and Gershwin’s An American in Paris.
