Our Voices Rise Together
There is a sound that comes from gospel music that doesn’t come from anything else. It is a sound of peace. It is a sound of, ‘I’m going to make it through all of this.’
– Yolanda Adams
Gospel music is hopeful and healing. It brings people together. And the infectious energy of this special concert could just stay with you forever.
“Our Voices Rise Together” will feature nationally recognized African-American singers Erica Gabriel and Phumzile Sojola, top-class professional musicians, and a host of regional choirs, all coming together to celebrate Black History Month.
The program will include André Thomas’s “Mass: A Celebration of Love and Joy,” Coleridge-Taylor’s “Violin Concerto No. 1” and a selection of spirituals and gospel favorites. Prepare to move, and be moved!
Thanks to our collaboration with Eastman, this concert will be presented free of charge.
